The wish orb

Say how you feel. Driex builds the vibe.

Vibes are Driex's mood worlds: curated pools of songs that belong to one feeling. If none of them fits, you tap the orb and simply say what you're in the mood for. Driex listens, understands your wish and builds you a custom vibe in seconds.

Your words drift into the glass, and the orb becomes your vibe. It stays saved and rides along next time.

What is Driex?

Driex is a driving music app for iPhone: it picks your music itself, matched to your mood, your speed, the weather and the time of day, and every song reacts live to your drive. The song builds as you accelerate and calms down at a red light.

Three drives

What it feels like

Music that moves with your speed

The light turns green, you accelerate, and the beat climbs with you.

At the red light, the song breathes

You roll to a stop and the music pulls back without disappearing.

Night drives sound like night

At night and in the rain, Driex picks music that fits the drive: darker, wider, calmer.

Every drive. Your movie.

EV or petrol

Your car gets a voice

Cars keep getting quieter. With Driex, the emotion that used to come from the engine comes from the music: it accelerates with you, breathes with you, lives with you.

In an EV

Silence is the perfect stage. Driex gives your car the sound the motor never had: when you accelerate, the music surges as if it were the drivetrain.

In a petrol car

Your engine already sounds great? Driex doesn't replace it, it plays along: the music rises the same moment the revs do.

Whatever you drive: your ride gets a soundtrack that feels it.

The story behind it

No startup. One room, one Mac, one idea.

There's no team behind Driex, just me: Ben, 20, from the south of Germany. The trigger was my own car: an EV that drives beautifully but sounds like nothing. And music that never notices the drive was never enough for me.

So I built Driex myself: an engine that mixes every song live to your drive. Soon you'll be able to try it yourself, and then I want to hear how your first drive went.

The music

Where the music comes from

Driex Radio

A catalog of its own, built for driving: every song is split into its stems and curated by hand. That is how it can react live to your drive.

Your own music on top, without limits (fair use, see FAQ)

We will announce pricing at launch.

Your own music

No subscription? 500 of your own songs with Driex Pro. Pricing comes at launch; try 3 songs for free.

Runs on CarPlay. With a cable it reacts fastest.

Why this works at all: In Driex a song isn't one file but four separate tracks: bass, drums, melody and vocals. That's the only reason the music can react to your drive instead of just getting louder.

FAQ

Quick answers

Is there an app that changes music with your driving speed?

Ja: Driex. Driex is a driving music app for iPhone: it picks your music itself, matched to your mood, your speed, the weather and the time of day, and every song reacts live to your drive. The song builds as you accelerate and calms down at a red light. Du drückst vor der Fahrt einen Knopf für deine Stimmung, alles Weitere steuert deine Fahrt.

How does Driex control music with the gas pedal?

Through GPS and the motion sensors in your iPhone. The microphone stays off; it only listens while you are telling the orb a wish. The music reacts within seconds, almost instantly with a cable on CarPlay. In a tunnel, Driex simply keeps your last speed.

Do I need a music subscription?

No. Driex brings its own catalog, prepared for driving, and you can import your own songs. Both run together on the same drive.

Can I use my own music?

Yes: 3 songs free to try, 500 with Driex Pro, and with the Radio subscription you keep importing without a fixed pack. Fair use: up to 500 songs a day. Very large libraries can therefore take a few days.

Where does the Driex Radio music come from?

From our own catalog, built for driving: every song is split into its four stems (bass, drums, melody, vocals) and curated by hand so it can react to your drive. Plus everything you import yourself.

Doesn't music that reacts to the drive distract you?

Driex is built so there's nothing to operate while you drive. You press one button before you set off, then the phone stays away. The music changes on its own, without you ever looking at a screen.

Does Driex work with CarPlay?

Yes. Driex runs on your car display. With a cable the music reacts fastest.

How much does Driex cost?

Pricing is not final yet; we will announce it at launch. What is certain: Driex Radio starts with a free week, and your first 3 imported songs are free to try.

What happens to my location and my data?

Your driving data (speed, motion) stays on your device. No account, no ad trackers, no profiles, no data sharing, only anonymous usage counts with no personal reference. Imported songs are uploaded to our server for processing. Details are in the privacy policy.

Is Driex available for Android?

Not yet, Driex comes to iPhone first. Want it on Android? Write to us.

What's the best music app for a road trip?

For long drives you want music that keeps up without you touching your phone. Driex moves with your drive instead of making you tend playlists: like video game music that reacts to your driving, in a real car. One button before you set off, the road delivers the rest.

Which music app is best for an electric car?

An EV has no engine sound, and that's exactly where Driex shines: the music takes over the emotion. It builds as you accelerate and breathes at the red light. Driex works just the same in a petrol car; in an EV you simply hear the difference most clearly.

Does Driex work on an iPad in the car?

Yes, Driex is a true iPad app: landscape, Split View, any window size. Important: GPS is only built into iPads with cellular. A Wi-Fi-only iPad can't know your speed.
